Paul Bordeleau vit et travaille à Québec. Illustrateur-pigiste depuis 1988, il obtient un baccalauréat en Communication graphique (concentration illustration) en 1991.

Dès lors, il réalise des mandats pour divers clients du Québec, du Canada et des États-Unis.

Il est illustrateur-éditorialiste pour l’hebdomadaire VOIR (Québec) de 1992 à 2004 et pour le journal LA PRESSE (Montréal), de 2001 à 2002. En 1999 et 2006 il est finaliste au concours GRAFIKA et LUX (catégorie emballage pièce unique et pièce promo). Par ailleurs, sa production donne lieu à plusieurs expositions présentées notamment à Québec, Montréal, Ottawa et Minas (Uruguay).

Parmi ses premières publications BD figurent l’album Rituel mettant en vedette Victor Météore, autopublié en 1988 pendant le Symposium de bande dessinée actuelle de Québec ou il est aussi participant en créant deux planches peintes sur toile aux formats démesurés puis vint ses fanzines nommés Pizzaman et Stie. Il participe aussi au fanzine Arg, Zeppelin, publie par la suite dans le magazine Solaris, Bambou et collabore aux collectif Les Vidangeurs d’Images aux Éditions du Phylactère, D.J.A.B.E. chez PAJE Éditeur, Rêves publié conjointement par Phylactère et PAJE et dans la revue Mac Tin tac chez GOGO GUy publications sur des scénarios de Marie Lachance. Vint ensuite sa participation à la revue Safarire avec entre autres la première version imprimée du Docteur Smog sur des scénario d’André-Philippe Côté. Il y publie aussi ses séries, respectivement TV-Diner et Les Zanimals et plusieurs autres illustrations. Plus récemment, Il participe au collectif Plan Cartésien chez Mécanique Générale ainsi que dans le Spécial Québec du magazine Spirou puis pour Le Fanzine Bidon et Ours gamazine.

Paul Bordeleau est membre de l’AIIQ, Association des illustrateurs et illustratrices du Québec et de la SODART, Société de droits d’auteur en arts visuels.

Paul Bordeleau lives and works in Quebec City. Freelance illustrator since 1988, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in graphic communications (majoring in illustration) in 1991.
He immediately began doing work for a variety of clients in Quebec, Canada, and the United States.

He was editorial illustrator for VOIR, a weekly Quebec magazine, from 1992 to 2004, and for LA PRESSE, Montreal’s daily newspaper, from 2001 to 2002. In 1999 and 2006 he was among the finalists in the GRAFIKA contest (single unique packaging category, self-promotion). Paul Bordeleau is a member of ACEC (Association of Canadian Editorial Cartoonists) and SODART (Société de droits d’auteur en arts visuels).
